Show notes

The RFTUV Briefing for October 16, 2026, evening edition. The lawsuits, farmland, and homecoming edition: attorneys general in eight states filed parallel lawsuits against OpenAI alleging misleading safety claims about ChatGPT and harm to vulnerable users including children; OpenAI responded citing age specific protections, parental controls, and break reminders, and said no system can be perfect. New York's siting office denied Hecate Energy a permit for the Shepherd's Run solar farm in Copake, Columbia County, on wetlands and floodplain grounds, the second denial in a near decade fight. Plus Kingston soldier Pfc. Albert H. Marks, killed in Germany in 1944 and missing for more than 80 years, was identified by the DPAA and brought home with a dignified transfer in Albany on October 9. Hosted by Noel.
